Restore4Life aims to empower citizens and stakeholders to actively participate in project co-design. We will establish local citizen scientists’ groups at various wetlands across Europe to support the monitoring of changes initiated by restoration activities. As a citizen scientist, you will help test, adapt, and optimize methods for evaluating the status of ecosystem functions and services of restored wetlands across the Danube basin.

Where we work

Our focus is on improving the conditions for wetlands, fostering biodiversity, unlocking carbon sequestration potential, and increasing the benefits from the wetlands to local communities. Restore4Life has 10 sites where wetland restoration activities have already been implemented or are dedicated to concrete restoration activities. These sites combined with your local knowledge will offer valuable insights that will shape the tools needed for future restoration projects.
